Mr. Patterson is
Double Board Certified in Civil Trial and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Less than 5% of practicing
attorneys achieve board certification and fewer hold certification in
multiple areas. As of early 2020, of the tens of thousands of attorneys
in Texas only 285 are board certified in both of these fields –
a fraction of one percent. Mr. Patterson is also the current 2020 President of the Houston Chapter
of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Pete received his undergraduate degree along with a double minor from the University of Texas at Austin, and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center where he was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Pete was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990 and is qualified to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, as well as, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
During his career, Mr. Patterson has realized over $180 Million in trial verdicts, judgments, public and confidential settlements, and or recoveries for his clients during his career. Mr. Patterson has demonstrated his abilities in many ways, earning numerous awards and legal distinctions for his advocacy as a business litigation attorney in Houston.
